Junior Construction & Renovation Handyman

ADOR CAN INC. is seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Junior Construction & Renovation Handyman to support construction, maintenance, and renovation projects across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

We specialize in commercial, institutional, and municipal construction and renovation projects, including building improvements, interior renovations, facility upgrades, and general construction work.

The successful candidate will assist site supervisors and skilled tradespeople with various construction activities while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism.

The ideal candidate has hands-on construction experience, follows supervisor instructions, and is interested in developing broader trade experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with general commercial construction, renovations, interior alterations, building upgrades, repairs, and maintenance work.
- Perform drywall patching, sanding, painting, and finishing tasks.
- Assist with framing, carpentry, flooring, trim, door, and fixture installations.
- Assist with demolition, material removal, and preparation of work areas.
- Use hand and power tools safely and maintain equipment, materials, and work areas.
- Follow construction drawings, specifications, site sketches, and supervisor instructions.




- Coordinate with site supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks.
- Assist skilled trades and subcontractors with construction activities as required.
- Follow company health and safety policies, site-specific procedures, and supervisor directions.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized construction sites.

Requirements
- Previous hands-on experience in construction, renovations, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Familiarity with drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs is an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Familiarity with common hand tools and power tools.
- Reliable, punctual, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
- Ability to work independently when directed and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is an asset.
- Personal tools are an asset.
