Bel-Air Toyota looking for a FULL-TIME LOT ATTENDANT

Position Summary The Lot Attendant is responsible for receiving and inspecting vehicle transports from the manufacturer, maintaining an organized and presentable vehicle lot, and assisting with the movement of vehicles between the dealership, off-site storage locations, and various departments as required. This position plays an important role in ensuring vehicles are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining the overall organization of dealership inventory.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Transport Receiving and Inspection

- Receive vehicle transports delivered by the manufacturer and verify that vehicles are accounted for upon arrival.
- Inspect vehicles upon delivery for visible damage, discrepancies, or other concerns, and promptly report any findings to management.
- Document vehicle condition and any transport-related damage in accordance with dealership procedures.
- Ensure vehicles are properly handled, and parked in designated areas.

Lot Organization and Vehicle Inventory

- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance throughout the dealership lot.
- Ensure vehicles are neatly arranged in designated parking spaces and positioned for easy access and identification.
- Assist with moving and repositioning vehicles to accommodate dealership operations, inventory needs, and customer requirements.
- Help maintain accurate vehicle locations and ensure vehicles are parked in the appropriate areas.

Vehicle Transportation and Department Support

- Assist with transporting vehicles to and from the dealership's off-site lot as required.
- Move vehicles between departments, including Sales,



Service, Parts, and other designated areas.
- Ensure vehicles are handled carefully and parked securely at all times.
- Communicate any vehicle-related concerns, delays, or issues to the appropriate personnel.

Safety and General Duties

- Adhere to all dealership safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with special projects, operational tasks, and other duties as directed by management.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence with a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles is an asset.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver various types of passenger vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when inspecting vehicles and identifying damage.
- Positive organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with dealership employees and management.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Previous experience in an automotive dealership or vehicle lot environment is considered an asset.
