Job Summary

Bourgault Industries is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to guide the maintenance team to success by coaching, counseling, leading, and motivating. This also includes planning and organizing daily tasks and developing long-term goals for the department.

Responsibilities

- Lead, develop, train, and motivate team members
- Schedule maintenance of production equipment while keeping downtime to a minimum
- Assign work to team members
- Manage and prioritize projects in a way that aligns with the team’s priorities and goals
- Guide team members on how to work safely and advise Maintenance & Facilities Leader of major safety concerns
- Ensure effectiveness of the team by demonstrating tasks and by checking the quality of work completed
- Provide assistance to team members in the effectiveness of their methods by demonstrating tasks and by checking the quality of their work
- Organize the work by ensuring that the materials, tooling and equipment necessary to do the job are in place
- Ensure all team members have the required training to effectively perform all aspects of their jobs




- Develop and maintain a “Continuous Improvement” culture focusing on the elimination of waste while striving to provide increased value to our customers, both internal and external
- Order parts as required
- Perform hands-on duties, when time permits

Required Skills/Experience
- Journeyman Millwright or Electrician certification is an asset
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Robust organizational & planning abilities
- Equipment and process knowledge
- Strong computer skills
- High degree of analytical thought and creativity
- Able to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
- Supervisor pre-promotion training is an asset but not a requirement
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends if required
- Strong desire to improve the quality of your own thinking, as well as a desire to develop the skills and thinking of others

Wage Range $32.07-$58.43 - Starting Wage is dependent on experience and journeyman designation.
