About the Company

Steel rebar has been the backbone of concrete construction for more than a century, and it has one fatal flaw: it rusts. Corrosion quietly destroys bridges, parking garages, seawalls and roads, costing owners and taxpayers billions in repairs every year. MST Rebar exists to fix that.

200+ employees and growing 3x the bond strength of steel ¼ the weight of steel rebar 1st fibreglass rebar certified by the ICC

We make MST-BAR, a glass fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP) rebar that will never corrode. It weighs about a quarter as much as steel (one truckload of MST-BAR replaces four of steel), bonds to concrete roughly three times better, and was the first fibreglass rebar certified by the International Code Council (ICC-ES ESR-4664). Getting there took more than five years of R&D; alongside researchers at the University of Sherbrooke and Concordia University, because our standard has always been simple: Do it right, do it once.

That product is now driving serious growth. We have expanded from our Toronto home base into U.S. manufacturing in North Carolina, and international expansion is next. The market is moving our way, as engineers, builders and governments look for materials that last longer, ship lighter and lower the carbon cost of construction. We intend to lead that shift.

Joining MST Rebar means joining a company at an inflection point. The work you do here will be visible and will matter. You will work close to the people making the decisions, take on responsibility early, and have room to grow as fast as the company does.
