Are you a hands-on, reliable individual who enjoys fixing things and keeping a property in great condition? We are looking for a Part-Time Maintenance Worker to join our hotel team in Whitecourt!

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, and can handle a variety of general maintenance tasks to help ensure our hotel remains safe, comfortable, and welcoming for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and staff spaces.
- Complete minor plumbing repairs, basic electrical-related tasks within the scope of training and authorization, and general carpentry repairs.
- Assist with painting, drywall patching, flooring repairs, furniture assembly, and other improvement projects.
- Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms and public areas to identify maintenance issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, fixtures, doors, locks, and other property components.
- Respond to maintenance requests from housekeeping and front desk staff in a timely manner.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance, including outdoor upkeep and snow removal as required.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas in an organized and safe manner.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and report any hazards or major repair concerns.




- Assist with special projects and general property improvements as needed.

Qualifications
- Previous maintenance, handyman, construction, or building repair experience is an asset.
- Practical skills in general repairs, painting, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete tasks efficiently.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to communicate effectively with the hotel team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and moving equipment.
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends, depending on hotel needs.
- Must be comfortable working in a guest-focused environment.
