We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operations Manager to work with owners to oversee our daily operations and ensure the efficiency of our business processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a strategic mindset, capable of driving organizational success through effective management and optimization of resources. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of operational excellence while fostering a positive work environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
- Oversee daily operations, in growing and selling a variety of annuals, perennials, trees, shrubs, etc.
- Work with customers and staff to help create great and colorful outdoor spaces.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to enhance their performance and career growth.
- Analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging creative solutions and feedback from staff.
Experience
- Proven experience in Greenhouse and Landscaping or in a similar role within a relevant industry.
- Strong understanding of business operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively .
- A provincial license to apply chemical fertilizers, fungicides, herbicides and pesticides may be required.
