Cabinet Maker – Custom Millwork & Exhibits
Measure twice. Cut once. Build something amazing.
Do you love working with wood, take pride in a perfect fit, and get a little satisfaction from a beautifully finished edge? We should talk.
At Müller Expo Exhibits, we're not your average cabinet shop. We design and build custom trade show exhibits, branded environments, and unique display solutions for clients across North America and other parts of the world.
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to join our growing production team. Someone who knows their way around a workshop, understands that an eighth of an inch really does matter, and takes pride in turning drawings and raw materials into something impressive.
One week you could be building custom cabinetry, the next you're creating a unique exhibit feature destined for a major trade show in Las Vegas, Chicago, or somewhere across the globe.
If you love woodworking but are ready to build something a little different, this could be your next excellent project.
What You'll Be Doing
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and shop plans to bring custom designs to life.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and finish cabinetry, custom millwork, furniture, and exhibit components with precision.
- Confidently operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment—because a tape measure and a good set of tools are practically extensions of your hands.
- Operate CNC machinery for accurate cutting and shaping of materials when required.
- Apply finishing techniques, including painting, caulking, and surface treatments, to ensure a professional finished product.
- Work closely with designers, the Millwork Manager, and production team to turn creative concepts into finished builds.
- Ensure cabinetry and custom components are properly aligned, level, plumb, and built to specification.
- Troubleshoot challenges and find practical solutions when a design looks easier on paper than it does in the shop.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace—because finding the right tool shouldn't require a search party.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to keep everything running smoothly.
- Support custom installations, repairs, and other shop projects as required.
- Meet production deadlines without compromising craftsmanship or safety.
What We're Looking For
- Experience in cabinet making, millwork, woodworking, carpentry, or custom fabrication.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and measurements accurately.
- Confident in the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Experience with CNC machinery is an asset.
- Knowledge of finishing techniques, painting, caulking, and surface preparation.
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment where deadlines matter.
- Organized, dependable, and someone who takes pride in a job well done.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and safely handling materials, using team lifts or equipment when appropriate.
- A positive attitude and willingness to tackle something new—because not every project comes with a perfectly straightforward instruction manual.
- Experience in the trade show and exhibit industry is not necessary. We'll introduce you to that world; you bring the craftsmanship.
Why You'll Like It Here This isn't your typical cabinet-making job.
At Müller Expo Exhibits, we build things that get noticed. Your work won't just sit in someone's kitchen—it could become part of a custom exhibit seen by thousands of people at a major international event.
Some projects are straightforward. Others will have you scratching your head, looking at the drawing, and saying, "Well, that's going to be interesting."
And that's part of the fun.
You'll work alongside a team of designers, builders, and production professionals who enjoy solving problems, creating impressive work, and having a few laughs along the way.
If you're tired of building the same thing day after day, you'll appreciate the variety, creativity, and challenges that come with custom exhibits and millwork.
