Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant – NW Calgary

A warm, busy family in Tuscany NW Calgary is looking for a reliable, proactive, and organized Nanny / Family Assistant to support their family of four. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a combination of childcare and helping keep a household running smoothly.

The family has two children, ages 11 and 8, and a friendly dog in the home.

The Position:

- 20 guaranteed hours per week
- Recurring 3-week rotating schedule with varying childcare needs
- Start date: January 4th, 2027
- Commitment: At least the end of the school year, potentially longer
- Vehicle not required, but considered an asset
- Located in Tuscany NW Calgary
- PD Day availability would be a helpful asset, when possible

Schedule: The family's childcare needs vary throughout the 3-week rotation. The nanny will need to have specific weekday availability requirements for childcare, outlined below.

Because 20 hours are guaranteed every week, any week with fewer than 20 hours of childcare will include additional family assistant / household support hours. These additional hours do not need to take place within the childcare windows. The successful candidate and family will establish a regular, consistent schedule for these additional hours that works well for both parties.

The schedule is also quite family-friendly, as the nanny is only required to work a Friday afternoon once every three weeks, during "week 1".

Week 1:

- Wednesday: 3:00–5:30 PM
- Thursday: 7:15–9:15 AM & 3:00–5:30 PM
- Friday: 7:15–9:15 AM & 1:00–4:00 PM

Week 2:

- Monday–Thursday:



7:15–9:15 AM & 3:00–5:30 PM
- Friday: 7:15–9:15 AM

Week 3:

- Monday–Wednesday: 7:15–9:15 AM & 3:00–5:30 PM

The 3-week schedule then repeats.

Responsibilities:

1. Childcare

- Providing attentive, engaging care for two school-aged children
- Helping with morning and afternoon routines, including school drop off and pickup
- Preparing snacks and meals for the children
- Supporting homework, activities, and age-appropriate responsibilities
- Helping maintain a positive, calm household routine
- Providing additional care on PD days when available

2. Family Assistant / Household Support

- Meal preparation and some cooking for the family
- Children's laundry
- Light housekeeping and tidying
- Grocery shopping and other errands as requested
- Keeping children's areas and common spaces organized
- Completing additional household tasks or cleaning as time permits
- Helping the family stay organized and on top of day-to-day household needs

This is a true hybrid Nanny / Family Assistant role, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys both caring for children and being an integral extra set of hands around the home.

- Available to provide occasional PD Day support when possible
