We are seeking a skilled and reliable Class 1 Professional Driver for an immediate opening. We are a company from Sydney, Nova Scotia, and we are specifically looking for a driver from Newfoundland to run our established routes.

- Compensation: Remuneration based on experience
- Home Weekly: Majority of drivers work scheduled routes

Requirements

- Minimum 25 years of age
- Ability to complete a Pre Access Drug and Alcohol Test
- Provide Criminal Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years of driving
- Must have Class 1 verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
- Ability to follow written and/or oral English instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities:

- Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or provincial/state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
- Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
- Maintaining legal Hours of Service and E-logs
- Loading/Unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Performs other duties as assigned
