Trans-Ontario is an established commercial construction contractor in the GTA.
We are looking for a sharp, organized, and ambitious individual to join our office team in an administrative and bookkeeping role.
We are looking for someone who wants to learn the business, take on increasing responsibility, and build a long-term career with our company.
Main Responsibilities
- Reception duties, including phone communication, and general office administration.
- Bookkeeping and invoice processing
- Maintaining accurate accounting and project specific documentation.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Organize and maintain project and accounting records and filing systems.
- Collaborate with and assist the accounting and management teams.
- Take on increasing responsibilities as skills and experience grow.
The right candidate:
- Has some type of bookkeeping experience and/or a strong interest in it.
- Is interested in long-term career growth
- Is comfortable working with numbers and is detail-oriented.
- Is highly organized and reliable.
- Learns quickly and takes initiative.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.
- Familiarity with computerized bookkeeping systems (experience with SAGE 300 is a plus).
- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and payroll is a significant plus.
