Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection as a part time Float Lab Patient Technician with LifeLabs. Support patients through accurate, respectful diagnostic testing.

This Lab Patient Technician role manages specimen collection from greeting patients through preparation for transportation. You will perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and holter monitor connections. The position also includes special test collections, documentation, data entry, and patient service. Various shifts apply, including a Saturday rotation from 8:00 to 12:30.

Key Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and request required information
- Explain collection processes and verify test protocols
- Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings
- Connect and disconnect holter monitors
- Prepare specimens and documentation for transportation

Requirements:

- Approved Laboratory Assistant program graduate preferred
- Phlebotomy experience considered an asset
- ECG training or experience considered an asset
- Excellent communication and patient service skills
- Computer skills and minimum 40 wpm typing speed
