Job Summary The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless experience for patient care and services. This position involves managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate medical records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of medical terminology, enhancing the efficiency of our operations and the quality of patient care.

Responsibilities

- Answering large volume of calls in a timely manner
- Conduct outbound calls to book appointments as required by government funding bodies
- Identify patient needs, clarify information and provide resolutions
- Create and update patient electronic files
- Respond to Home Oxygen and Sleep inquiries providing appropriate solutions for patients and other healthcare professionals
- Build and maintain professional relationships with patients, referral sources, hospitals and funding agencies
- Troubleshooting Oxygen equipment malfunction calls and scheduling appointments when necessary
- Processing POS payments for monthly billing

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a medical office or home care setting
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma or relevant
- Post-Secondary in a related field
- Experience with MedAccess or Telus InputHealth
