We are seeking an experienced and efficient Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Central Alberta. In this role, you will be the backbone of our daily workflow, supporting our pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing fast, accurate, and friendly service to our patients.Because this is a quick-paced environment, advanced proficiency with Kroll pharmacy software is strictly required. The successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running with data entry and third-party billing from day one.Key Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate and efficient data entry of prescriptions using Kroll pharmacy software.
- Handle third-party insurance adjudication, troubleshooting billing issues, and managing provincial health plan coverage.
- Count, package, and label medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist or technician.
- Manage inventory by unpacking orders, checking invoices, stocking shelves, and monitoring expiry dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service at the counter and over the phone, managing cash register transactions and answering general inquiries.




- Assist with compliance packaging (blister packs) and maintaining a clean, organized dispensary.
- Complete daily administrative tasks and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience working as a Pharmacy Assistant in a community or retail pharmacy in Alberta.
- Hands-on, independent experience using Kroll pharmacy software is mandatory. Candidates without Kroll data entry experience will not be considered.
- Strong working knowledge of Alberta third-party billing, coordinate-of-benefits, and provincial drug plans.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with a warm, professional phone manner.
- High attention to detail, strong multi-tasking abilities, and a reliable team-player attitude.
- Familiarity with Alberta Netcare is considered a strong asset.
