We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role involves supporting licensed physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care within a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and experience in acute environments. Requirements
- Ability to work Tuesdays (3 PM - 8PM), Thursdays (3PM - 8 PM), and Sundays (10 AM - 3PM)
Duties
- Assist physiotherapists with patient assessments and treatment plans
- Support patients during therapy sessions, including exercises and mobility activities
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions
- Provide patient education on exercises, mobility techniques, and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures
Experience
- Previous acute care experience is highly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in patient care within a clinical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices
- Familiarity with rehabilitation equipment and therapy techniques is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate approach with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple patients efficiently
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 per week
