Flexcim Manufacturing Services

Edmonton

About Us: Flexcim Manufacturing Services Inc. (FMSI) is a diverse Canadian manufacturing company located in Edmonton, Canada. Our mission is to reverse the trend towards offshoring and repatriate production into Canada. Our company has been growing, in part, due to installation of robotics, automation and artificial intelligence. By integrating technology into our business, we can compete on the global stage.

FMSI is not only proud of having a young, energetic team of skilled technical staff who embrace early adoption of new technologies, but also blessed to have an engaged, motivated, self-driven, energetic production team.

We currently have an opening position for Injection Molding Machine Operator.

Considering a move from Ontario? Your paycheque goes a lot further in Edmonton.

Skilled tradespeople from Ontario are relocating to Edmonton for a lower cost of living without a step down in career opportunity. A few reasons to consider the move:

Alberta has no provincial sales tax — just 5% GST, compared to Ontario's 13% HST — and no land transfer tax on home purchases. Combined with lower provincial income tax brackets, a single person earning $100,000 can keep roughly $6,000–$8,000 more per year in Alberta than in Ontario.

Housing is dramatically more affordable: detached homes in Edmonton typically run $480,000–$600,000, compared to well over $1,000,000 in the Greater Toronto Area, and a 3-bedroom rental in Edmonton averages around $1,976/month versus roughly $3,400/month in Toronto.

Edmonton also offers a shorter commute, a growing manufacturing and industrial sector, and a strong quality of life without the traffic congestion and price pressure of Southern Ontario. For tradespeople and manufacturing leads looking to stretch their income further while advancing their career, Edmonton — and Flexcim — offer a compelling place to land.
