Metal Fabricator (Fitter) Our office in Port Robinson, ON , is looking for a Metal Fabricator (Fitter) to join our team. Please note that if union membership is not already held by the successful candidate, they will be required to become a member of the applicable Local prior to the commencement of work. Ensure all work is performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality policies, programs, and practices with respect to the various codes and standards on company projects. Sets up and operates trade-specific machinery to cut and form parts for assembly. Assembles and fits components to create subassemblies or complete units used in manufacturing. Connects components using various welding processes and mechanical fasteners. Safely utilizes material handling, rigging, hoisting, and lifting equipment. Tack welds components to support the welding process, as required. 3 years of working experience in a fabrication workplace is preferred. ~ High school diploma. ~ Welding or Metal Fabrication Program would be considered an asset.
