Apply cyber underwriting expertise with Markel Canada’s TCF team in Toronto, using analytical skills and insurance knowledge to assess business.

As an Associate Underwriter, you will support Cyber, Tech and FinTech underwriting alongside the AVP of Cyber. The work covers recent business and renewals, underwriting tools, coverage forms, policy language, broker relationships, and Canadian regulations. You will also contribute to strategy, process improvement, data quality, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Underwrite new and renewal business within authority and guidelines
- Use tools to determine classifications, rates, and premium charges
- Apply coverage, exclusions, risk management, and aggregation controls
- Improve underwriting processes, administrative tasks,



and data quality
- Develop broker relationships and attend client meetings when required

Requirements:

- Detailed understanding of the insurance market
- One to three years of Cyber, Tech E&O;, or FinTech experience
- Strong numerical, analytical, communication, and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Up to 25% travel; bilingual capability preferred
