Support clinical research at UBC Psychiatry through participant recruitment and data collection. This in-person Vancouver role requires confidentiality and attention to detail.

As a Research Assistant/Technician 1, you will support Dr. Azar’s laboratory at Vancouver General Hospital’s Complex Pain and Addiction Service. You will assist clinical research studies involving individuals with opioid use disorder. The work includes survey administration, research data entry, and maintaining participant records under established protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

- Recruit participants for approved clinical research studies
- Provide approved study information and assist enrollment procedures
- Administer surveys and clarify instructions using approved procedures
- Enter, verify,



and maintain research data accurately
- Report updates, concerns, and protocol deviations promptly

Requirements:

- High school graduation and one year related experience
- Previous participant recruitment or data entry experience is an asset
- Ability to follow detailed research protocols and instructions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitive participant information
- Reliable attendance at scheduled in-person VGH shifts
