Duties & Responsibilities – but not limited to:

- Purchasing of goods and services in line with MRP and delegated requirements.
- Maintaining accurate and effective purchasing records.
- Ensuring timeous receipt of goods (expediting).
- Conducting market research to support procurement decisions.
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure best value.
- Ensuring supplier conformance to HSE and B‑BBEE requirements.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Job Purpose The Procurement Officer will be responsible for purchasing goods and services in line with Material Requirement Planning and delegated procurement needs. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with organisational specifications, maintain accurate purchasing records, expedite deliveries, conduct market research, negotiate effectively, and ensure supplier adherence to HSE and B‑BBEE requirements.





Applicants Should Have/Be the Following:

Minimum Requirements

- B. Tech Degree or National Diploma in Purchasing Management
- 5 years’ experience in a maintenance workplace.
- B. Com Degree in Supply Chain Management (advantageous).
- Code EB (8) driver’s licence.

Skills

- Strong numeracy and negotiating skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written).
- SAP R3 (Materials Management).
- MS Office (Word & Excel) and Microsoft Outlook.

- Proactive and able to work in a team environment.
- Strong planning and organising ability.
