Registered Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

· If required, administer medications as prescribed in accordance with pharmacy policies & procedures and observes changes in condition and reports them to the Director of Care.

· Assist with Care plans and resident assessments as required.

· Facilitates problem solving and action planning of resident and family requests that arise.

· Responds to emergencies.

· Assists and monitors resident care as required.

· Assist the Director of Care with tasks and processes.





· Monitors team member compliance with the policy on monitoring resident well-being and ensures follow-up is completed as required.

· Evaluate Resident well being and quality of life through day-to-day practice.

· Follow all RHRA and Ministry regulations and policies.

· Ensuring Resident safety and well-being is always top priority.

· Assist PSW and RCA team with Activities of Daily living as required.

· Provide emergency support to active Codes.

· Must be proficient in Fire Safety and emergency response.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Education/Training: Current registration with the College of Nurses in Ontario or completion of an accredited Nursing program, assistance with registration may be available.
