The General Store and Peak Sweets strive to provide guests with friendly and exceptional service whenever we see them. As a retail clerk you will provide prompt, efficient and friendly service, selling and promoting anything from food to Alcohol. You are aware of all current events and resort information and keep our guests informed as courteous, outgoing and animated ambassadors of Apex Mountain Resort.

Job Responsibilities

· Ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff

· Be friendly and approachable and willing to assist guests with any questions they may have about the merchandise or about Apex Mountain Resort.

· Become familiar with the merchandise to provide the best customer service possible.

· Maintain store and products in a clean, orderly fashion for presentation to guests, maintain inventory control system

· POS transactions and end of day cash outs

· Provide immediate response to product and service shortfalls.

· Answer customer phone calls

· Stocking shelves and ensuring products are presented with the soonest expiring to the front

· Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Employee Handbook

· Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable

Supervisory Skills

· Supervise staff in the store

· Ensure a safe,

Experience & Requirements

· Previous experience in retail, inventory control and cash handling, an asset

· Computer literate

· Working on your feet in the store for long periods of time.

· Lifting and moving of boxes and product, up to 50 lbs/23kg

· Availability to work weekends and holidays

· Have, or willing to obtain, your ‘Serving it Right’ certificate

· Have, or willing to obtain, your FoodSafe

· Over the age of 19

Pay: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
