Apply practical nursing expertise on 3C, a 40-bed medical unit focused on adult stroke recovery and cardiac care. Use assessment skills and cardiac monitoring knowledge.

The Registered Practical Nurse provides care for patients recovering from strokes, myocardial infarctions, and congestive heart failure. The unit also supports patients requiring continuous monitoring for atrial fibrillation or dysrhythmias. Daily multidisciplinary rounds create tailored care plans for individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide health teaching to patients and families
- Make clinical decisions within available resources
- Participate in theory-based nursing practice
- Support nursing and unit objectives

Requirements:

- Complete a Practical Nursing Diploma Program
- Maintain Ontario nursing registration in valuable standing
- Hold current BCLS certification
- Hold current venipuncture certification
- Bring recent medical-floor experience within five years

Support medically complex adults through physical assessment, critical thinking, therapeutic communication, and responsive cardiac monitoring on 3C.
