Northern Gateway Public Schools seeks a qualified Mental Health Qualified for its Integrated School Support Program. You will support students and families through brief interventions, individual and group support, early identification, and school-wide prevention activities. The program is managed with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation and funded by Alberta’s Ministry of Mental Health and Addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide assessment, consultation, and brief therapeutic interventions
- Identify learning, emotional, behavioural, and mental health concerns
- Manage individualized student caseloads and prevention activities




- Support students during classroom and unstructured school times
- Consult teachers, administrators, families, and external professionals

Requirements:

- Registered Social Worker licensed by ACSW, or registered counsellor
- Master of Social Work preferred for social workers
- Specialized master’s-level training for registered counsellors
- Expertise in child development and trauma-informed practices
- Strong communication, crisis intervention, and organizational abilities
