Title: Security Guard (Casual) Employment Type: Contract / Casual

Pay Rate: $19.77 per hour

Site: Imperial Oil Nanticoke

Schedule: Various hours (1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts, and weekends)

Site Overview

Imperial Oil Nanticoke is a key industrial facility in southwestern Ontario. Security guards at this site serve as a central point of contact for access control, traffic management, and facility monitoring, helping maintain a protected and secure operational environment.

What You'll Be Doing

- Administer site access control and photo ID systems, including issuing, updating, and deactivating access cards in accordance with site policies.
- Monitor site CCTV networks, conduct regular video tours, and archive video clips when requested by management.
- Manage gate traffic, perform vehicle inspections, and carry out contraband searches at assigned locations.
- Perform rover patrol duties across the site and remote gates as directed by the Security Shift Supervisor.
- Activate emergency call-out systems (Send Word Now and Everbridge) for the Site Fire Marshall during incidents.
- Check databases for worker access authorizations, log shift activities daily, and communicate using two-way radios and computers.
- Provide customer service and emergency response support to site personnel and visitors.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid Class G or G2 Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.
- Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C Certification.
- Strong computer skills, including experience using MS Office (Excel and Access) to organize and handle data.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

Nice-to-Haves

- Two or more years of security experience in an industrial setting.
- Post-secondary education in a law enforcement or security program from a recognized college.
- Prior security experience working at an Imperial Oil site.




- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and the Mental Health Act.
- Understanding of relational database operations and query functions.
