Job Title: Security Guard - Mail Screening Employment Type: Full time

Pay Rate: $19.83/hr

Site: One Queen - Cushman & Wakefield

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 13:00 - 19:00 hours

One Queen Street East is a landmark 503,000-square-foot office complex located at the corner of Yonge and Queen in downtown Toronto. Managed by Cushman & Wakefield, this modern property hosts dynamic commercial tenants and requires precise, high-standard mailroom safety and screening operations.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operate an X-ray Security Screening System on incoming mail and packages to prevent foreign or unauthorized objects from entering the facility.
- Receive, sort, and process incoming and outgoing mail and parcels according to recipient lists, size, and designated P.O. Boxes.
- Inspect parcels and validate authorized individuals accepting mail across the service counter.
- Deliver mail and packages safely throughout the building in a timely manner.
- Weigh outgoing items, select economical shipping methods, enter tracking details into shipping software systems (e.g., UPS, DHL), and handle status inquiries.
- Maintain accurate weekly and monthly logs on delivered and pending packages.
- Provide routine administrative support, including handling basic team communications and maintaining clear records.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid WSIB-approved Standard Level C First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
- Minimum of 1 year of security experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 40 pounds, and push up to 100 pounds

Nice-to-Haves

- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience operating mailroom equipment or X-ray screening systems
