- Pay Rate: $24.91 - $27.40 per hour
- Site: Mississauga Hospital
- Schedule: Rotating Continental (06:00 - 18:00 / 18:00 - 06:00)
- Overtime Methodology: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

What You'll Be Doing

As a Security Team Lead, you will oversee daily shift operations, guide security personnel on duty, and maintain a safe setting for hospital staff, patients, and visitors.

- Provide leadership, day-to-day direction, coaching, and on-the-job support to guards on your shift.
- Perform proactive patrols and respond promptly to security calls throughout the site, including the Emergency Department and mental health ward.
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergency codes.
- Apply verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflict and assist individuals experiencing stress or medical distress.
- Oversee and support patient watch guards, assisting healthcare staff with safety plans for high-risk patients.
- Investigate routine security incidents, complete detailed reports, and route documentation to Supervisors and Client Service Managers.
- Ensure team compliance with site regulations, safety standards, and mandatory training.
- Coordinate with local emergency services and law enforcement when required.

Must Haves

- Valid Ontario Security License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification (WSIB-approved).
- 2 to 3 years of security experience.
- Certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB),



or willingness to complete Paladin-sponsored training prior to onboarding.
- Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, two-step TB skin test, and two doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
- Strong oral and written English communication skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

- Diploma in Police Foundations or Justice Studies.
