Lead choral rehearsals and youth programs with piano skills in Vancouver, BC, supporting Chor Leoni’s Artistic Director and community mission.

This full time Assistant Conductor supports Chor Leoni’s Artistic Director across rehearsals, performances, and concert production. The role also leads MYVoice, Emerging Choral Artist, and Invitational choir programs. Success requires choral conducting, vocal technique, piano skills, and clear organization. You will balance artistic support with independent program leadership while engaging singers, families, and communities through choral music.

Key Responsibilities:

- Cover the Artistic Director for rehearsals and performances
- Conduct preparatory and sectional rehearsals as requested
- Advise on balance and other musical considerations




- Manage choir rosters, attendance, and season participation
- Assist concert production, including lighting, sound, and supertitles

Requirements:

- Master of Music preferred, or equivalent ensemble-leading experience
- Success recruiting, managing, and conducting youth choirs
- Piano skills sufficient for independent rehearsals and sectionals
- Knowledge of vocal technique and choral repertoire
- Residency in the Metro Vancouver area required
