CFMWS’ Information Services division provides a complete range of information management/information technology services in support of the delivery of CFMWS programs and services. It is a critical enabler in CFMWS operations nationally and at Bases, Wings and Units across Canada.
THE ROLE
Under the director of the Director IM/IT Business Services, the Senior Advisor, Solutions Architecture plans, designs, manages and ensures technical integrity and consistency of the system/solution/product throughout every stage of its lifecycle. They lead activities associated with specific systems/solutions/products including concept definition through requirements analysis, design and implementation. They plan, design and implement systems/solutions/products architectures, lead architecture sizing and scaling activities. They review, analyze and provide advice to management on the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems/solutions/products and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems. They ensure systems/solutions/products pipeline and implementation by leading system evolution and ensuring proper level of documentation as well as providing technical product enhancement feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field, AND several years of experience in technical architecture, application architecture, solution architecture or in a related field
Experience In end-to-end solution design and architecture In systems architecture and technical architecture and design In multi-technology environments In software integration and relational databases In software development In contracts management In budget administration In leading multi-discipline teams In providing advice on strategic issues In project management In creating and facilitating presentations In using formal architecture frameworks and modeling tools In integrated solution design

Salary: $97,900- $122,420 CAD per year
