If you are seeking a rewarding challenge and the chance to grow at an outstanding company.Duties & ResponsibilitiesInstallation of fibre optic cables in new and existing buildingsIdentify and document all cables and equipment appropriatelySafe and efficient utilization of hand and portable tools in an indoor/outdoor environmentDrill all building types and install: raceway, EMT,



PVC or micro ductInstall and terminate connectors on single‐mode fibre as per manufacturer/customer standards.Continuously develop and apply knowledge of building and electrical codesKnowledge and SkillsAbility to test, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issuesAbility to manage workload and to ensure jobs are completed on time and on budgetJob planning skills according to desired timelines, including the dissection of blueprintsStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to work in all weather conditions, confined spaces, isolationAbility to work in a physically demanding atmosphere including, but is not limited to: carry, raise and climb a ladder, carry, lift and handle heavy equipment and/or tooling.Self-disciplined, motivated and organizedAdditional RequirementsValid driver's license (Minimum Class 5)Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or on emergency call outs as requiredThe successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal record checkExperience RequiredAbility to read blueprints and building plans and document daily records, reports and hours workedPerform fibre optic testing (OTDR/power meter) and accurately record test resultsAbility to multitask and work in a rapid-paced environmentEffective listening, teamwork, and writing abilitiesUnderstand and adherence to environmental, health & safety practicesCompensation and BenefitsCompensation is commensurate with experience and skill level (Ranging from $21.00/hr - $30.00/hr)Weekly PayGroup Insurance Benefits Package - 50% employer paid (Life Insurance, Health, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability etc.)Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
