Introduction

RS Recruitment is assisting a large RETAIL COMPANY based in DURBAN NORTH to source a SENIOR CREDITORS CLERK, R20 000 to R25 000 per month.

OUR CLIENT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IS PART OF A GROUP OF 350 RETAIL STORES ACROSS SOUTHERN AFRICA.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities – but not limited to:

Allocating expenses to GL accounts and cost centers.

Completes payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices to statement and ledger.

Submitting of supplier payments.

Reconciliation of accounts/cash suppliers’ invoices and GRVs/ trade creditors to age analysis/unpaid invoices and claims / Drop-shipment creditors accounts and claims/ cash and IBT etc liaising with other departments re stock claims, captured data queries and supplier queries.

Controlling all salary reimbursements, overtime, staff discounts, and submissions to the central office.

Purchase order capture and maintenance.





Maintain the bank file (Receipt and payments).

Ensuring all deadlines are met and all payables documents are captured and balanced.

Ensure all month end charges are allocated correctly before the deadline.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Applicants should have/be the following:

A Matric certificate.

A financial degree.

A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Creditors Clerk.

Advanced Excel skills.

Experience on SAP.

Experience within the retail and or hardware industries, an advantage.

Team player with the ability to manage others.

Ability to thrive under pressure and be deadline driven.

Accuracy when dealing with a large amount of data is essential.

Package & Remuneration

Remuneration:

Approximately R20 000 – R25000per month.
