As a Case Manager Trainee, you will receive on-the-job training while supporting Short-Term and Long Term Disability claims. The position covers Group and Individual business, with responsibilities spanning documentation, policy review, client collaboration, and return-to-work services. You will work under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Assess claims and render decisions through proactive case management
Obtain documentation from members, reinsurers, practitioners, and providers
Understand client businesses and identify possible accommodations
Communicate claim updates and decisions empathetically




Coordinate rehabilitation services supporting sustainable return to work
Requirements: Allied Health Qualified degree or equivalent medical experience
One to three years of complex customer service experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Office knowledge and strong computer skills
Availability for onsite training in Winnipeg
Develop disability claims, decision-making, and case management skills while supporting Wawanesa members, clients, and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
