Maintain cement plant electrical systems in the Oakville/Mississauga area using PLC troubleshooting, instrumentation, and motor controls. Shift work is required.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, the Electrician maintains Ash Grove Cement plant equipment and supports production operators. Duties include diagnosing breakdowns, replacing components, installing equipment, and completing preventive maintenance inspections. The work requires electrical knowledge across PLCs, instrumentation, motors, relays, and transformers.
Key Responsibilities: Promote and follow plant safety guidelines and procedures
Repair, troubleshoot, remove, and replace electrical equipment
Install electrical equipment, wiring, conduits, and cable trays
Program, troubleshoot, and monitor PLC systems




Complete inspections, reports, housekeeping, and supervisor notifications
Requirements: Valid Electrical Certificate of Qualification, 309A or 442A
Proof of apprenticeship and valid driver's licence
Working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, motors, relays, and transformers
Ability to read schematic and construction wire drawings
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, and platforms
Apply electrical maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial repair skills to support Ash Grove Cement plant operations.
