Teach Functional Skills English at HRUC’s Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow Weald campuses, supporting vocational learners aged 16-18 full time.
This Lecturer position focuses primarily on cross-College Functional Skills English delivery. You may also teach GCSE English while helping vocational learners progress onto higher courses or the workplace. Experience in Functional Skills English, literacy, ESOL, or EFL is required.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver Functional Skills English across the College
Teach primarily vocational learners aged 16-18
Support learners’ development and progression
Teach some GCSE English where required
Teach one Thursday evening until 9.00pm
Requirements: Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills English
Experience engaging 16- to 18-year-olds
Degree or equivalent in English or related subject
Level 5 further education teaching qualification, or willingness to train
At least two years’ proven teaching experience with Level 3 alternative
Bring English teaching experience and learner engagement skills to HRUC’s Functional Skills provision across Harrow campuses.
