Support advanced cardiac monitoring at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre as a full-time temporary Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Care Unit.
Working within the Cardiovascular Program, you will provide accountable, quality patient care for serious cardiology conditions. The seven-bed unit uses a multidisciplinary, patient- and family-centred model involving cardiologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, and allied health professionals. Care follows RVH, College of Nurses of Ontario, and legislative standards.
Key Responsibilities: Provide quality patient care within the Cardiac Care Unit
Support patients and loved ones arriving in the unit
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Follow RVH, College, and legislative standards of care
Requirements: Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
Critical Care certificates CC1 and CC2
Pass the arrhythmia quiz with at least 80 percent
Demonstrate computer literacy and professional growth commitment
