This Diagnostic Medical Sonographer position covers abdominal, obstetrical, pelvic, peripheral vascular, small parts, and echocardiography procedures. You will prepare patients, review clinical histories, enter diagnostic imaging data, and monitor comfort throughout examinations. The work follows professional practice standards and department values.
Key Responsibilities: Perform cardiac and general ultrasound examinations
Prepare patients and complete diagnostic imaging requisitions
Use ultrasound and Doppler techniques to obtain images
Check image quality and discuss examinations with physicians




Monitor patients during procedures and emergency situations
Requirements: Graduate of recognized cardiac and general sonography programs
Certification with Sonography Canada or ARDMS
Knowledge of abdominal, vascular, pelvic, and cardiac sonography
Knowledge of aseptic and secure equipment procedures
CPR ability and physical ability to perform duties
Apply cardiac sonography, diagnostic imaging, patient preparation, and Doppler expertise within Fraser Health’s diagnostic services.
