Clean patient care areas at CGMH using healthcare cleaning procedures, specialized techniques, and disinfecting practices across hospital spaces. This temporary part time position includes 8-hour day, evening, night, and weekend shifts.
As an Environmental Services Aide, you will support the Environmental Services team under the Manager, Food Services, Clinical Nutrition and Environmental Services. You will clean and maintain hospital areas, follow specialty cleaning procedures, and contribute to a positive patient experience. The position lasts approximately five months.
Key Responsibilities: Perform cleaning duties under manager supervision
Clean and disinfect patient care areas
Maintain other hospital spaces




Complete specialized cleaning procedures in designated specialty areas
Requirements: Minimum Ontario Secondary School Diploma
Previous healthcare cleaning procedures and protocols experience preferred
Knowledge of PIDAC and floor care preferred
Experience with WHMIS controlled chemicals preferred
Knowledge of dilution rates and Personal Protective Equipment preferred
Bring healthcare cleaning, disinfection, and specialized procedure experience to Environmental Services at CGMH during this temporary assignment.
