Plan meaningful resident programs as a Program Aide using therapeutic recreation skills, accurate documentation, and person-centered care practices.
Reporting to the Programs Manager, the Program Aide works within an interdisciplinary team. You will plan, implement, and evaluate programs, outings, and events addressing residents’ physical, social, emotional, intellectual, cognitive, spiritual, and cultural needs. The position also supports recreation assessments, care planning, communication, and community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities: Plan recreational programs based on resident assessments
Implement special events, outings, and community programs
Evaluate programs and make appropriate adaptations
Complete program documentation, statistics,



and care updates
Assess equipment and arrange appropriate assistive devices
Requirements: Post-secondary recreation, leisure, gerontology, or related credential
Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating programs
Experience working with seniors
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Computer literacy and CPR and First Aid certifications
Bring therapeutic recreation, documentation, and communication skills to meaningful programming that supports residents’ individual needs.
