Support patient care at Lakeridge Health Port Perry through environmental services, hospital cleaning, and patient portering across wide-ranging shifts.
This temporary part-time Service Associate contract supports the Housekeeping department and Environmental Services program. You will help maintain patient care units, service areas, equipment, supplies, and basic patient care needs. The work requires universal precautions, WHMIS knowledge, communication, organization, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities: Clean and make up beds and stretchers
Clean and disinfect hospital surfaces, rooms, and equipment
Replenish carts and rooms with supplies
Port patients and perform errands to hospital departments
Empty garbage, sharps containers, and linen
Requirements: Read and write English at the required level
Know universal precautions for cleaning and handling materials
Understand WHMIS and effective safety practices
Work all shifts with minimum supervision
Walk extensively and climb stairs and ladders regularly
Bring environmental services, communication, and patient support skills to Lakeridge Health Port Perry’s hospital care team.
