Lead Ottawa communications through media relations and community networking in a hybrid role supporting BBB’s mission across the region.
As Ottawa Region Director, you will serve as BBB’s key contact for news media, businesses, and consumers. You will strengthen awareness of BBB services, promote ethical business practices, and support local community engagement. The position includes public speaking, event planning, and collaboration with BBB’s St. Louis affiliate office.
Key Responsibilities: Build relationships with Ottawa media, businesses, and consumers
Represent BBB on local television and radio
Write monthly columns for Ottawa newspapers
Plan mixers, seminars, and educational webinars
Present BBB services to community and business groups
Requirements: Passion for community involvement and ethical business practices
Solid networking and communication skills
Media or public relations experience preferred
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
Microsoft Office 365 and CRM proficiency
Use communications, networking, and public presentation skills to advance BBB’s trusted presence throughout Ottawa’s marketplace.
