Manage Meridian payment services in a hybrid chance based at the St. Catharines Corporate Office, using analysis and vendor coordination.
Reporting to the Director, Credit Card & Payments, the Payments Specialist oversees daily payment operations and continuous improvement. You will support debit cards, Interac e-Transfers, wires, bill payments, and related services. The role also coordinates incidents, maintains governance, and supports modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Manage and support varied payment products and services
Coordinate payment incidents, escalations, and service disruptions
Maintain payment governance, documentation, reports, and checklists
Support payment modernization projects and emerging solution research




Manage vendors, partners, contracts, and payment issue resolution
Requirements: Five to seven years in financial services
Five years in a relevant payments specialty
Experience with debit cards, Interac, wires, and AFT
Strong payments regulations, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication with sound judgment
Apply payments operations, regulatory knowledge, and relationship management expertise to support Meridian’s evolving payment services.
