This Staff Accountant supports accounting activities across Western Financial Group. You will prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and assist with financial and regulatory reports for Wawanesa. The work also includes responding to internal enquiries, resolving issues, and following close controls.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare required journal entries accurately
Document financial statement analysis, calculations, and reconciliations
Assist with Parent Company financial and regulatory reports
Respond to internal client enquiries and resolve issues
Manage full cycle accounting functions
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
Previous balance sheet reconciliation experience preferred
Previous financial reporting experience preferred
Proficiency in Excel and Word
Availability for a temporary one year contract
