FortisBC seeks a Customer Service Technician for its Gas branch in Victoria, British Columbia. You will troubleshoot gas-burning equipment, construct and test piping installations, and maintain distribution equipment. The work supports consumer relations, company property, and safe gas service.
Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot gas-burning equipment and make appliances safe
Construct, test, and certify piping installations
Install and maintain metering and pressure regulation equipment
Investigate gas leaks and eliminate hazards
Handle emergency incidents with authorities and company groups
Requirements: High school graduation
Valid Gas B, Utility, or equivalent ticket
Secure work habits and safety regulation compliance
Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Proficient tools, equipment, instruments, and computer skills
Bring gas distribution knowledge, technical judgment, and customer service skills to FortisBC’s Victoria operations while protecting public safety.
