Provide personal care and daily living support as a Part Time Personal Support Worker with Extendicare, following supervisor direction and care plans.
This position supports residents or clients while meeting regulatory and Extendicare standards, policies, and procedures. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, meals, emotional support, and safety. The work requires communication, organization, sound personal care skills, and respect for confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities: Follow care plans determined by the supervisor
Assist with personal care, hygiene, and daily living
Support ambulation, transfers, mobility, and adaptive aids
Observe and report changes in client conditions
Escalate medical emergencies appropriately to supervisors or emergency services
Requirements: Personal Support Worker or provincial equivalent certificate
Minimum 600 hours of theory and practicum where applicable
Experience supporting seniors in community health services
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification
Ability to lift and transfer clients safely
Bring personal care, communication, and supportive living skills to Extendicare residents and clients in this part time position.
