Prepare healthy children’s meals as a Cook at Mighty Kids, applying food safety and allergy protocols in the campus kitchen. Support daily care through nutritious, balanced food.
Reporting to the Centre Director, the Cook plans menus, prepares meals, and maintains kitchen operations. The position includes dietary accommodations, inventory management, cleanliness, and scheduled meal service. Candidates need cooking experience and knowledge of nutrition, Canada’s Food Guide, and protected food handling.
Key Responsibilities: Plan meals and snacks under Canada’s Food Guide
Create menus for allergies and special dietary needs
Prepare and serve meals on schedule
Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary kitchen
Manage inventory, orders, and budget guidelines
Requirements: High School Diploma, OSSD, or GED
One to two years of cooking experience
Valid Food Handler’s Certification
Nutrition, food safety, and allergy protocol knowledge
Knowledge of Canada’s Food Guide
Bring organized kitchen management, nutrition knowledge, and safe meal preparation to Mighty Kids’ childcare community.
