The truck driver transports materials safely and reports to the Operations Manager. Responsibilities include route planning, vehicle inspections, electronic logs, and dispatch communication. Drivers also manage documentation, fuel monitoring, and legal load weights.
Key Responsibilities: Drive B train combinations between Manitoba and Ontario
Secure loads and perform checks every two to four hours
Inspect vehicles, trailers, and loads before, during, and after trips
Plan routes, documentation, and inspection station requirements
Communicate with dispatch through satellite, phone, and text
Requirements: Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
Class 1 truck license
One to three years of Class 1 driving experience preferred
English communication skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work alone
Bring Class 1 driving, load securement, and inspection skills to safely transport materials across Manitoba and Ontario highways.
