Operate light equipment for Leduc County while maintaining roads, facilities, and municipal infrastructure through every season.
This experienced Light Equipment Operator reports to the Area Foreman and supports year-round municipal operations. The work includes equipment operation, road maintenance, property inspections, and winter night driving. Success requires mechanical ability, problem-solving, adaptability, and a commitment to safe, qualified service.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain municipal roads, right-of-ways, facilities, and properties
Repair and patch gravel, cold mix, and hot mix roads
Operate mowers, tractors, loaders, trucks, and compaction equipment
Inspect road conditions during severe nighttime weather
Support rotational winter maintenance driving from November through April
Requirements: Experience operating and maintaining light equipment
General mechanical abilities
Valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license
Trailer towing experience
Class 3 license and heavy equipment experience preferred
