Build scalable platform quality at Akamai using Python and Pytest. Support reliability, correctness, and deployment validation across virtualized servers.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will define test strategy and performance quality gates. You will automate the SDLC pipeline from testing through deployment and validation. The work supports Akamai’s Compute division Platform Engineering Team and its virtualized server platform.
Key Responsibilities: Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end test frameworks
Create test plans covering microservice scenarios and edge cases
Investigate deployment issues and identify root causes
Write scripts automating platform service deployments
Verify protected deployment and rollback requirements
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Python, Pytest, and modern testing methodology knowledge
Perl, golang, and debugging experience
Linux, Bash, and performance tuning fundamentals
Automation tools including Jenkins, Github Actions, or SaltStack
Apply Python, Pytest, Linux, and automation expertise to strengthen Akamai platform testing, deployment, and validation.
