Support rehabilitation programs as a Casual Rehabilitation Assistant at Surrey Memorial Hospital, using patient instruction and therapeutic exercise skills. Work within Fraser Health’s Rehabilitation team in Surrey, B.C.
Under therapist supervision, this position supports occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and recreation programs. You will train patients in daily living activities, apply treatment modalities, assist with exercise programs, and report patient responses. The role also includes equipment preparation, inventory, and department maintenance.
Key Responsibilities: Instruct patients in toileting, transfers, dressing, and bathing
Carry out recreation participation programs and maintain patient environments
Apply ice, heat, cryocuff, whirlpool, and wax modalities




Supervise exercises and assist with walking and range of motion
Prepare, clean, monitor, and maintain therapy equipment
Requirements: Recognized Rehabilitation Assistant Program completion or equivalent preparation
Effective verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to deal effectively with others
Physical ability to perform job duties
Ability to organize work and manage time effectively
Bring rehabilitation training, patient instruction, therapeutic exercise, and equipment skills to Surrey Memorial Hospital’s Rehabilitation team.
