School District No. 5 (Southeast Kootenay) seeks a Counsellor for Grades K-12. The position supports Kootenay Discovery School, Fernie Secondary School, and Jaffray Elementary/Jr. Secondary School. Applicants need counselling, psychology in counselling, or psychology training.
Key Responsibilities: Support Kootenay Discovery School at 0.30 FTE
Support Fernie Secondary School at 0.286 FTE
Support Jaffray Elementary/Jr. Secondary School at 0.30 FTE
Provide counselling support across Grades K-12
Complete all work on site
Requirements: Master's Degree recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Branch
Training in counselling, psychology in counselling, or psychology
Degree, formal training, or teaching experience at K-12 level
Training or experience in trauma-informed practice
Preference given to applicants with BC Teacher Certification
