Demonstrate neuroscience laboratory techniques at Brock University while teaching students, preparing labs, and maintaining protected conditions on campus as needed.
This Lab Demonstrator position supports neuroscience laboratory instruction under the direction of the Senior Lab Instructor. The nominal workload is 10 hours weekly, including six demonstrating hours and four hours for marking and preparation. Candidates must understand laboratory procedures and have completed NEUR 3P87 or an equivalent course. The position is covered by the CUPE4207-1 collective agreement.
Key Responsibilities: Present introductions to assigned laboratory sessions
Demonstrate laboratory techniques and assist students
Maintain safe laboratory conditions during sessions
Prepare and clean up laboratory spaces
Mark lab reports and attend meetings as needed
Requirements: Hold an MSc in Neurosciences
Or be enrolled in a graduate Neurosciences program
Complete NEUR 3P87 or an equivalent course
Work under the Senior Lab Instructor’s direction
Support Brock University neuroscience students through laboratory instruction, preparation, marking, and safe practical learning environments.
